Step aboard a new adventure... Whether you are a complete beginner eager to find out what sailing is all about, or an experienced sailor seeking to brush up on rusty technique, Ramsgate Sailing will have the perfect course for you.

We're here to take you from novice to crew, and on to skipper. And once you have the wind in your sails, we're here to help you build up your sea miles!

OFFICIALLY APPROVED!

We are delighted to announce that Ramsgate Sailing School is now recognised by the RYA to teach the following theory courses in the classroom:

Essential Navigation and Seamanship Course
Day Skipper Theory Course
Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory Course.

This means that we can now provide a fast-track course to Day Skipper for those who are at Competent Crew level but have no further sailing or navigation experience. This course is 9 days in duration (4 days in the classroom) and accommodation for the first 3 nights can be arranged in Ramsgate, staying at the Royal Temple Yacht Club where the classroom lessons will be held. After 4 days in the classroom, the students take to the water for a further 5 days to put into practice what they have learnt.

RYA stands for Royal Yachting Association. Set up in 1875 as the Yacht Racing Association, the RYA has since become the national governing body for dinghy, motor and sail cruising, all forms of sail racing, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing and personal watercraft and a leading representative body for inland waterways cruising.
